Bali Wave (Print)

I painted this illustration in order to understand the details that make waves fascinate me. I spent a lot of time retouching reflections, shadows and brightness, until I got this result, painted with a simple technique that, when seen up close, manages to convey the visual nuances of a wave. I painted this print at a time when I didn't know where I wanted to go. The possibilities were endless, so I decided to close my eyes and rely on intuition. So, this is about doing what you like because of how good it feels to do it. About turning your back on the future and enjoying the moment. About trusting and letting it flow, even if you have no idea where you're going with it.
