Oil painting on canvas of a whale shark, painted with a minimalist pointillism technique that seeks to reveal the shapes of the shark simply by using black dots of different shapes and sizes.

Brief history

The whale shark is one of my favorite animals since I was lucky enough to dive with it in Mexico. I remember how impressive it was to swim next to such a giant and beautiful creature. I was fascinated by its calm and elegant way of swimming and its white spots, which seem to be painted in oil. It was the first animal I painted with this technique. It must be true that nature inspires.
